About the Women's Fellowship
The Women's Fellowship of The Methodist Church Ghana was founded in 1931 by Sister Frances Green, a Methodist missionary and tutor at Wesley Girls' High School in Cape Coast. Beginning with just six women, the Fellowship was established to raise "Women of Substance" who would positively influence their homes, churches, and communities through Christ.
Officially recognised by the Methodist Synod in 1932 as a uniformed organisation, the Fellowship has grown into one of the Church's most vibrant ministries, bringing together tens of thousands of women across every diocese. It exists to unite Christian women in fellowship with Jesus Christ and with one another while strengthening their spiritual lives through worship, prayer, Bible study, and discipleship.
Through leadership development, evangelism, family life ministry, charitable outreach, and social action, members are equipped to serve faithfully in the Church and society. The Fellowship continues to nurture women as Christian leaders, mentors, professionals, wives, mothers, and community builders who reflect Christ's love in every sphere of life.
