About

About the Association of Methodist Brigades

Established in 1998 under the Youth Development Ministry of The Methodist Church Ghana in collaboration with the Boys' Brigade Ghana and Girls' Brigade Ghana Councils, the Boys & Girls Brigades exists to provide holistic Christian formation for children and young people. Through structured programmes, members grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially while learning the values of discipline, service, and godliness.

With a membership of over 40,000 spanning societies, circuits, dioceses, and the Connexion, the Boys & Girls Brigades has impacted generations of young people. Many former members now serve Ghana as professionals, educators, musicians, business leaders, clergy, and members of the security services, demonstrating the lasting influence of Brigade training.

The Boys & Girls Brigades combines Bible study, fellowship, leadership development, evangelism, music, community outreach, and educational support to prepare young people for lifelong Christian discipleship. Through conferences, retreats, competitions, and service initiatives, the organisation continues to advance Christ's Kingdom while equipping members to serve both the Church and society.

Say among the nations, 'The Lord reigns.'

Psalm 96:10
