CHARACTER OF GOD

The Bible teaches that God is a triune consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

One of the most essential attributes of God is his omniscience or complete knowledge of all things. This attribute is evident throughout the Bible, as God is depicted as knowing everything that happens in the world, both past and future. In Psalm 139:4, for example, the Psalmist declares, “Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely.”

Another essential attribute of God is his omnipotence or all-powerful nature. This attribute is also evident throughout the Bible, as God is depicted as able to do anything consistent with his nature. In Job 42:2, for example, Job confesses to God, “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.”

Again, the Bible teaches that God is omnipresent or present everywhere. This attribute is stated in several passages, such as Psalm 139:7-8, which declares, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”

Truly God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. These attributes demonstrate his greatness and sovereignty over all things and remind us of his ever-present love and care for his creation.
